Country overall: Medium High Risk

Zimbabwe remains unstable despite the power-sharing deal. The rule of law is weak and inflation is rampant. Security forces can over-react in sensitive areas such as State House and the Botanical Gardens in Harare. Demonstrations occur from time to time and can provoke a heavy reaction. There has been a cholera outbreak in recent months. Some governments advise their nationals not to travel to Zimbabwe at this time, especially to avoid deprived urban areas, rural farming regions and places where 'War Veterans' operate.

Hatty: Since the use of forex was officially bought in during Dec '08-Jan '09 & Tschangari assumed control of various ministries the situation has improved in Zim. Security has not been a big problem for months, bar small scale car theft at traffic lights etc.

Joshua: Things are getting worse and worse; disease, scarcity of food & essentials, intimidation, crazy inflation. Zimbabwe is going backwards fast.
