Zimbabwe remains unstable despite the power-sharing deal. The rule of law is weak and inflation is rampant. Security forces can over-react in sensitive areas such as State House and the Botanical Gardens in Harare. Demonstrations occur from time to time and can provoke a heavy reaction. There has been a cholera outbreak in recent months. Some governments advise their nationals not to travel to Zimbabwe at this time, especially to avoid deprived urban areas, rural farming regions and places where 'War Veterans' operate.
