Multiple governments advise their nationals not to travel to the departments of Putumayo, Narino (excluding Pasto) on the Equador border, and to Arauca, Santander and Norte de Santander (excluding Cucuta) on the Venezuala border. They also advise against travel to the departments of Cauca, Caqueta, Guaviare, Valle de Cauca and Antioquia (excluding Medellin); to the southern part of Meta and to the town of Buenaventura; Huila (including San Agustin and the Parque Arqueologico), Choco (except for Bahia Solano), southern Tolima, northwestern Antioquia, northeastern Boyaca, Cordoba, Sucre, southern Bolivar and southern Cesar departments; Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, border areas with Cesar and La Guajira.
