Years of civil war have left behind a landmine problem. Landmine Monitor states the most contaminated provinces are Moxico, Bie, Uige, Kwando Kubango, Kwanza South, Huambo and Cunene. Cabinda suffers from violent crime, including kidnapping. Lunda North & South provinces are unstable. Luanda has a high crime rate.
