Djibouti City: Medium Risk

Some governments advise their nationals not to travel to the border with Eritrea. Porous borders contribute to lawlessness in remote regions, particularly along the borders with Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia. In the districts of Tadjoura, Obock and Ali Sabieh there are reported to be landmines. Pirate attacks have taken place in the coastal waters.
